ARTivist. Storyteller. Facilitator. Human.

I’m Morgan Breon, founder of heal.be.live.

My work sits at the intersection of art, mental wellness, education, communication, and human connection.

But it didn't start as a business idea.

It started with people.

Throughout my career, I have worked with young people, families, educators, mental health professionals, community organizations, and teams. Again and again, I found myself in spaces where something important needed to be said, but people didn't always have the words, comfort, or opportunity to say it.

I became fascinated with what happens when we give people another way into those conversations.

For me, that way has always been art.

Before There Was heal.be.live.

Before there was anything. There was a gift from God. He deposited everything inside of me that people experience today. And I credit Christ with all of my creativity and success.

My professional foundation began in psychology, social work, and education.

I earned four degrees from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor (Yea...that's right...Go Blue!) I earned graduate degrees in Social Work and Education Policy and Leadership and undergraduate degrees in Psychology and English. I later became a Certified Integrated Attachment Theory Coach.

But some of my greatest education happened outside of a classroom.

Working with young people in Detroit taught me to look beyond what I could immediately see.

As a Behavior Specialist, I encountered young people who were often described by their behavior. Angry. Disengaged. Defiant. Difficult.

But when I took the time to listen, there was almost always a story underneath.

There was grief. Fear. Trauma. Identities at War. Hopelessness...and Hope.

Those experiences strengthened something I already understood from my own life:

People are more than the behaviors we see, and sometimes their stories need a different way to be told.

Then Art Entered the Conversation.

I have also spent more than a decade as a professional actress, playwright, and creative.

Theatre taught me something different. People will sometimes talk about a fictional character before they are ready to talk about themselves.

A poem can give language to something someone has been feeling for years.

An image can help someone explain an emotion they couldn't name five minutes earlier.

A story can make us curious about another person's experience instead of immediately judging it.

Eventually, my worlds stopped feeling separate.

Social work helped me understand people.
Education taught me how people learn.
Psychology helped me understand behavior.
Art taught me how to get people talking.

In 2017, all of these worlds became heal.be.live.

I Create the Things I Wish Existed.

Today, I am an award-winning playwright, published author, professional actress, facilitator, speaker, coach, and creator of tools and experiences designed to help people communicate differently.

I've created books and workbooks that use poetry for self-reflection and relationship building.

I've created Processing Cards that turn visual images into conversations.

I created The Danger of Hope™ Training, an immersive theatrical training experience that uses performance to help people explore trauma, behavior, empathy, and human connection that's reached 400+ participants.

And I facilitate experiences that invite people to do more than sit through another presentation.

I want people talking. Thinking. Questioning. Reflecting. Laughing. Emoting.

I want people recognizing themselves.

And sometimes saying, “I never thought about it that way before.”

That is the work.

Yes, There Are Credentials.

You can explore my complete professional and artistic background through my Resume/CV.

But the credentials aren't the most important part of this story.

The people are.

I built heal.be.live. because I believe our stories deserve places to exist. And I believe creativity can make difficult conversations feel a little more possible.

And I believe people connect differently when we stop asking them to leave their humanity at the door.

If that sounds like something your community, team, organization, or audience could use, I'd love to bring the work to you.
